One of the most famous supercomputers in the world, Watson (by IBM) is being made available to a much wider audience in the near future. IBM has announced that they are opening their incredible supercomputer up to new customers who want to use it for things like analyzing marketing conditions, making commerce improvements, helping with supply chain management, addressing HR needs, and even creating virtual agents (chat bots).
Powerful computing is needed for a wide range of different services, and having a resource like Watson can make this go far faster than would otherwise be possible. In addition, having access to this system is very helpful to many companies that can’t afford to invest heavily into the hardware that would be necessary to complete these types of tasks on their own.
While this won’t likely help individual marketers directly, it very well could open up larger service providers to be able to create extremely effective solutions that will be used by marketers going forward. As IBM continues to become more and more open with their super computer, this type of service will help to continue revolutionizing the way things are done.
