Sean Finn Memorial and Obituary

I’m not sure what to say on this. Sean was one of those guys who I only met half a dozen, but knew for years. We had a lot of similarities, and both been in this industry since it started. One of the good guys in the industry, one of the old-timers will be missed. I don’t think I can write what I am thinking or express my feelings about this anymore than the people who knew him did on his page in the last month.

“Finner, I will miss you deeply but will keep you in my memories forever. Don’t think I can put it better than Josh. We shared so many great times (and a few trying ones too!):all the miles run, rites of passage in innocent youth, the parties, ski trips, Catalina, CIF,State in Fresno, neighbors in Poway and again in Westwood. We drifted apart over the years but I believe it was more a function of time, circumstances and distance. I am grateful that Facebook let us reconnect the last few years. To me, you were one of my best buds but I know I am far from alone in saying that. This speaks to the incredible life you led, full of vigor, amazing human spirit, and goodness. My heart is heavy tonight. All of my best to you, Sean, and yours. Spence”

“I worked closely with Sean when he was at Fastclick. I loved our business meetings and time together in SB and LA. I am sending love and healing to his boys, Celeste, Andrea and all other family and friends. Sean, you made a mark. I will miss the awesome YOU.”

“You may or may not know that I was with Sean the last two weeks and was by his side during his passing. I was also in contact with Andrea and his mother as well. If you have any questions about his unexpected passing please contact me or Andrea. Most importantly remember Sean as the sweet, thoughtful, loving and special friend and father he was and keep his spirit close to your heart always — with Sean Finn.”

“It is not length of life, but depth of life.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson. Very sorry to see you go Sean. Many great memories. Crosscountry, Track, trips to TJ, many classes together, summer days at the beach, T-shirts with inappropriate sayings …..all the memories that define High School for me had you in them. My condolences to your family. I hope we run into each other again on the next ride on this carousel.”

Sean’s Memorial gathering will be in Malibu, CA on Saturday June 8. 3:30pm – 6pm

Location information

Malibu Racquet Club
23847 Stuart Ranch Rd
Malibu, CA 90265

I would like to get a general idea of the number of people who will be attending. I’m not saying RSVP is required, I’m just wanting to get an estimated head count. I guess the best way to do this is via email.

In lieu of a service that day, this will be more of a remembrance gathering. I wanted to ask that if anyone has a photo or a favorite quote or song lyric or something that they feel embodies Sean, I would love to collect these items and keep them for our children. I would also love to send a similar collection to his parents, as they will not be able to make the memorial. So if it possible to bring 2 copies of whatever item you choose.

I can be reached at 310-913-8451 should you have any questions.
