Adfonic Rebrands as byyd

The mobile advertising company, Adfonic, has officially rebranded itself under the name ‘byyd.’ In the announcement, they also confirmed that they had signed with 12 significant new clients, including king.com, starcom, Weve and others.  They claim the rebrand was done to have their brand reflect the changing mobile market.  They will be focusing on demand-side platforms, taking advantage of the ‘Madison’ platform they launched in 2012.

Victor Malachard, the CEO and co-founder of byyd, said “The mobile advertising industry has grown up in the past five years and is now highly specialized.  This means that business models attempting to cater to both publishers and advertisers risk undeserving each party.  Our mobile DSP, Madison, and ad campaign services constitute a unique, differentiated offering, leveraging cookieless technology, unlocking value from big data, and focusing exclusively on the buy side.”

Byyd will be focusing the bulk of their business around their two primary services.  Their software as a service solution, byyd pro; and their managed solution for planning mobile ad campaigns, byyd media.  Together they hope to be able to provide improved services to all their customers, including those who just recently signed with them along with the rebranding.
